Reviews: Hits and MissesHave you read a book you’d like to share with your neighbours? Do you have an opinion about a new movie that you just can’t keep to yourself? Papa Roach - Getting Away with MurderAfter hearing the first two singles on the radio and enjoying them ("Getting Away with Murder" and "Scars"), I got a chance to listen to the CD on a recent road trip.
End result: very generic. It may not sound too much like the previous two Papa Roach discs (which sounded somewhat different from each other as well), but it doesn't avoid sounding like every other 'nu-rock' (or whatever it's called now) band, and nothing else on the CD really jumped out at me. There might be at most one or two other good songs on there.
I plan on enjoying the singles when they're on the air, and passing on picking up the album. | |
